Post Title: Pupil Escort
Team: School & College Transport Team
Required as soon as possible.
The School and College Transport Team have a number of permanent vacancies for a Passenger Assistant to work escorting pupils with special educational needs from home to school. You will be required to work a split day, travelling on the morning and afternoon journey.
Hours of work vary but typically average 8-16 hours per week, term time only, worked in accordance with service requirements.
There are currently permanent vacancies, Monday to Friday, with children travelling to:
· Millwood Primary School – afternoons only, approx. 6 hours per week
· Millwood Primary School – approx. 10-12 hours per week
· Elms Bank High School – approx. 10-14 hours per week
· Greenfold Specialist School – approx. 10 hours per week
· Cribden House School - approx. 8-10 hours per week
· Summerseat Methodist Primary School – approx. 8-10 hours per week
· Brookhaven School – approx. 8-10 hours per week
· Higher Lane Primary School – approx. 10-12 hours per week
You will be responsible for the care and welfare of the pupils travelling, ensuring that they reach their destination safely. To help you achieve this, you will be expected to attend all appropriate training as and when required.
You will be expected to meet the vehicle at a collection point that will not be your home address.
