Salary: Grade 8

Hours: 18.5 hours per week (2.5 days) between Mon – Fri. Working pattern to be agreed

1 x Permanent part time

 

This is an exciting opportunity for an Enquiry Referral officer (ERO) who wants to have the opportunity to develop themselves professionally and make a positive contribution to the work in Connect and Direct (CAD) which is the ‘front door’ of Adult Care Services.

 

You will need to have excellent communication skills, quick to learn, have a real can-do approach and demonstrate sound professional knowledge.

 

As someone who embraces change, you will positively support colleagues as well as other members of the team across CAD and work well with change and service developments.

 

The post holder will have the ability to effectively communicate with citizens, professionals, and carers, providing information and support to resolve as many enquiries as possible at the first point of contact and processing all contacts in line with agreed processes, procedures, and performance standards.  This may include making referrals, signposting to other services, or distributing literature/information as appropriate.  Most of the work will be over the phone, via email and letters with citizens, partner agencies alongside relevant others.

 

You will also need to have IT skills and, following appropriate training, be able to record/input information and negotiate around the Councils Electronic Recording system in line with current policies and procedures.

 

We will support your professional development with formal and informal supervision and provide opportunities to learn and develop skills on the job working closely with the wider operational team.

 

Normal hours of work are 18.5 hours per week based around the usual business working week.

 

The salary for this post is £13,210 to £14,385 per annum.
