We are looking for a first class, enthusiastic and highly experienced Finance Manager to provide essential professional financial management capacity within Corporate Core Finance.
The position is required to meet current demands and challenges in respect to supporting Local Authority Departments and individual service areas to effectively manage all aspects of their budget, including planning, monitoring, forecasting, reporting, year-end closure of accounts, and financial systems support.
The postholder will advise, guide and provide critical challenge to service managers in respect to sustaining a balanced budget as well as meeting required savings targets where applicable.
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a high degree of relevant experience in order to ensure the effective delivery of professional financial management support across the organisation.
You will require a high level of numeracy and IT skills pertinent to local authority financial management systems and processes to be able to interpret and produce highly complex budget advice and reports in an accurate and effective manner.
