We wish to appoint a Part-Time Special Support Assistant with special needs expertise to join a team of caring, committed professionals.  The role will involve some aspects of classroom support within KS2 classes but will mainly consist of providing 1-1 support for a Y5 (Y6 in September) child with an EHC plan for SEMH and learning difficulties.

 

Hours of work are 27.5 per week, term time only, worked in accordance with service requirements.

 

The salary for this post is Grade 7, £12,422 to £13,447 per annum.

 

You must hold relevant qualifications at a level equivalent to at least NQF Level 3 and be have demonstrable levels of numeracy & literacy equivalent to GCSE (A-C) or NVQ Level 2.

 

The school aims to develop independent learning for children with SEND at every opportunity. Therefore, the ability to work with wider groups of children within the class would be “desirable” within the recruitment process. This would require confidence in working within the national curriculum for Y6 maths and English.

 

You must hold relevant qualifications at a level equivalent to at least NQF Level 3 and be have demonstrable levels of numeracy & literacy equivalent to GCSE (A-C) or NVQ Level 2.
