Bury Council – Children’s Services Social Worker vacancies

Due to the successful promotion of a number of our Social Workers we are now looking to recruit to several permanent vacancies across our social work teams. 

During a recent visit to Bury by Ofsted, Inspectors found that despite the impact of COVID 19 “senior managers, leaders and frontline staff have worked tirelessly, investing significant time and effort in continuing to support the most vulnerable children and young people in Bury...Staff reported that they have been helped and supported well, not only professionally, but also personally, throughout the pandemic. Managers and leaders have kept staff close, connected and safe, while recognising and acknowledging their hard work.”

Position Title: Social Worker 

Salary: Level 3 Social Worker - £34,728 - £36,922 per annum (pro rata for part time appointments)

Newly Qualified Social Workers will commence at Level 1, SCP 24 £28,672 per annum (pro rata for part time appointments)

Contract Type: Permanent Full Time - opportunities also available for part time or fixed term contracts

Location: Bury
