Millwood is a well-established, outstanding and inclusive special school for pupils aged 2-11 who have a range of special educational and complex medical needs, and challenging behaviour.   We wish to appoint a Head Cleaner to join the Millwood premises and cleaning team. Millwood is a spacious, state-of-the-art, environmentally sustainable school supported by a Building Management System. Specialist facilities include a hydrotherapy pool, specialist play and therapy equipment, and extensive grounds.

 

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, reliable and hardworking Head Cleaner to support the Duty Officers (Site) in ensuring that the premises are cleaned to an extremely high standard and maintained to an outstanding level of presentation. The ideal candidate will have a “can do” attitude and be able to respond to the ever changing requirements of a busy school. The salary is £9,874 - £9,980 per annum.

 

You will assist with the management of the cleaning team through providing day to day support, advice & guidance to cleaning staff. This will include the quality assurance of cleaning across the school; ensuring excellent standards of cleanliness are maintained. You will undertake cleaning duties under the supervision of the Duty Officer (Site) within the premises team to ensure high standards of premise care in accordance with cleaning specifications and current Health and Safety Legislation.

 

The post holder will be required to act as key holder and will be required to occasionally cover weekend lettings activity. Working hours are 25 hours per week: 5 hours per day, 1.45pm to 7.00pm, with 15 minutes unpaid break per day, according to service requirements.
