We are looking for a highly motivated Business Rates Billing and Recovery Officer to work on a team dealing with the billing, collection and enforcement of Business Rates.

 

You should have:-

 

·         Excellent team working skills

·         An ability to analyse information and make effective decisions

·         A commitment to providing first rate customer service

·         Experience of working in a performance related environment

·         Experience of dealing with customers face to face, over the telephone and in writing.

 

Full training will be provided.    

 

The hours are 37 hours per fortnight Monday, Tuesday of week 1 (14.48 hours) then Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of week 2 (22.12 hours).

 

The salary is £9,357 -£10,186 per annum.

 

Appointment is subject to a satisfactory standard disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

 

In order to support budget reductions in Local Government, the Council looked at many ways to reduce spending that minimised the need to reduce employee numbers or impact on services. All employees up to and including the Chief Executive are required to take an additional 3 days (unpaid) annual leave. This can be taken at any time during the leave year. The cost of these additional days is spread over 12 months or pro rata to your start date.
