We are looking to recruit a permanent Catering Assistant to work over the lunch time period at:

 

Parrenthorn High School, Heywood Road, Prestwich, Manchester, M25 2BW

 

The hours of work are 16 per week, the salary for this post is £5,581 per annum (£7.78 per hour). The post is term time only, Monday to Friday, subject to service requirements.

 

We are looking for people to be part of a team offering a friendly and highly efficient catering service, to children at the school. Tasks will include food service, setting up and clearing of dining areas, washing up and cleaning duties.

 

You will be provided with a uniform, training and the potential opportunity after a qualifying period, to gain qualifications in catering.

 

We welcome applicants from men who are currently under represented in this area of work.

Appointment is subject to a satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service, and satisfactory references.

 

In order to support budget reductions in Local Government, the Council looked at many ways to reduce spending that minimised the need to reduce employee numbers or impact on services. All employees up to and including the Chief Executive are required to take an additional 3 days (unpaid) annual leave. This can be taken at any time during the leave year. The cost of these additional days is spread over 12 months or pro rata to your start date.
