Bury Adult Learning Service offers a range of accredited and non accredited courses throughout the borough of Bury during the day and evening. We are looking to recruit suitably qualified casual tutors to teach ESOL in our Adult Learning Centre and community venues.
Applicants must have the following:
- a teaching qualification - minimum Level 4 certificate in Education and Training
- a recognised qualification appropriate to the specialism eg CELTA, DELTA. Trinity TESOL
Hours of work to be confirmed, subject to demand and the salary is Grade 10 £26,602-£29,082 pro rata

Due to the nature of the service the successful candidate may be required to work any five days out of seven including weekends to meet service needs

In order to support budget reductions in Local Government, the Council looked at many ways to reduce spending that minimised the need to reduce employee numbers or impact on services. All employees up to and including the Chief Executive are required to take an additional 3 days (unpaid) annual leave. This can be taken at any time during the leave year. The cost of these additional days is spread over 12 months or pro rata to your start date
