Part time Permanent Contract – Kitchen Unit Supervisor

Required as soon as possible.

 

We are looking for 3 enthusiastic, motivated and suitably qualified Unit supervisors with high standards to provide and deliver the school meals catering service at the above primary schools.

These are full production kitchens serving between approx 100 - 180 meals per day.

 

NVQ Level 1 and 2 in Food Production and Cookery or equivalent qualification in Food Preparation and Cooking and a Basic Food Safety Certificate are essential.

 

You must have experience in Catering and relevant experience at a Supervisory or Assistant Supervisory level and be able to communicate effectively, motivate and lead a team. The team consists of the Unit Supervisor, Assistant Unit Supervisor and Catering Assistants. We are looking for a Supervisor who is also able to enhance and develop the existing good relationship with the Head Teacher, Business Manager and the school team.

 

Ideally you will be looking for your next step up the ladder and this will give you a great development opportunity to enhance and develop the catering service.

 

You will be provided with a uniform, training and the opportunity to gain an NVQ level 3 qualifications in catering after a qualifying period.

 

Hours of work are 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only, worked in accordance with service requirements, plus 2 mandatory training days.

 

The salary is £13,372 per annum.
