Adult Learning Tutors 

 

Bury Adult Learning Service is an Ofsted Grade 2 (November 2021) rated adult and community learning provider. We’re hiring tutors for our exciting and expanding plans to deliver top quality adult and community learning programmes for the town of Bury. It’s a great time to join the service as we play our part in helping the community recover from the economic effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. 

 

We are currently seeking tutors in the following curriculum areas. 

·         ICT and Digital 

·         ESOL 

·         Family Learning 

 

You’ll need to: 

 

·         Hold a minimum Level 4 teaching qualification (e.g. Education & Training, PTLLS/CTLLS/DTLLS) 

·         Hold a recognised qualification at a minimum of Level 2 in the relevant discipline(s). 

 

Ideally you will also: 

 

·         Have experience of delivering the relevant discipline in an adult learning environment 

·         Have flexibility to work a range of working patterns, including some evenings 

 

Our part-time tutors are employed on fixed-term contracts, teaching up to 16 hours per week (term-time only) with 40% of hours taught added on for preparation, marking and training. It’s a grade 10 post with a salary of up to £28,672 per annum (FTE), depending on hours worked. Contracts are subject to review throughout the academic year according to the needs of the service.
