NQT Teaching Pool
NQT PRIMARY TEACHING POOL
Teachers’ Pay Scale
“The NQT Pool was instrumental in helping me gain employment. The interview process was straightforward and everyone involved was friendly, personable and calming. I have and will continue to recommend the pool to fellow NQT’s looking to teach in Bury.”
(NQT, St Luke’s CE Primary School, Bury).
We are looking to recruit a pool of Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT’s) to work in Bury primary schools from September 2018.
You must be currently working towards an initial teacher training course with QTS and be committed to delivering high quality teaching to our young people.
Bury is a great place to pursue your teaching career, attracting a significant number of new entrants to the profession year on year. Its schools are diverse and are committed to inclusion and to meeting the needs of the communities that they serve. You will find a warm welcome and excellent support from all colleagues who will give you the benefit of their knowledge, skills and expertise to help you succeed and to develop an ambitious career pathway.
The arrangements for every NQT to complete a period of induction provide a bridge from initial teacher training to effective personal practice. In partnership with the Bury Primary Learning Collaborative and the Bury Teaching Schools Alliance, all schools are committed to providing a supportive and comprehensive induction programme, along with networking, mentoring and peer support activities.
As an employee of Bury Council you will have a responsibility for, and must be committed to, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and for ensuring they are protected from harm.
Appointment is subject to a satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service. You must also commit to joining the DBS Update Service.
