Head of Corporate Landlord


Bury Council is changing; a new Council structure has been embedded, and a new Executive Director (Operations) is in post to lead the largest Council department through major transformational change, service reviews, growth strategies, and capital investment strategies.  We are looking to appoint a Head of Corporate Landlord to join the management team.

 

The salary for this post is grade SM2, £51,755 to £54,675 per annum.

 

Your hours of work will be 37 hours per week, in accordance with service requirement. 

You will be required to work flexibly outside of normal working hours in accordance with the exigencies of the service, this includes attendance at evening meetings, weekend working and service responses to emergencies.

 

You will lead a centralised hard Facilities Management team, and the development and implementation of a new Corporate Landlord model to move the Council from a reactive regime for its assets, to a comprehensive Facilities Management service with forward planning, strategic capital investment and asset rationalisation. The post holder will ensure Council wide statutory FM compliance and testing for all buildings and facilities across the entire estate. (Including public buildings), and design and implement a centralised helpdesk.

 

You will also initiate, develop and implement strategies and plans that support the Councils climate change agenda, and carbon management reduction initiatives.

 

We are looking for someone with substantial facilities management experience and a proven track record in effective management in a buildings and facilities environment. Knowledge and experience of health and safety legislation and buildings statutory compliance is a must, as well as experience of co-ordinating and managing projects.
