A permanent part-time (0.5 FTE) Traveller Education Coordinator is required to work within the Traveller Education Service to coordinate and develop educational provision for Gypsy, Roma and Traveller pupils.
Bury Traveller Education Service seeks to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced person to this post.
Hours of work are 0.5 fte job-share (Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday), Teachers’ pay and conditions.
The salary for this post is Teacher’s MPS (0.5) £11,860 - £19,703 per annum plus + TLR2C of £3,323 per annum.
We require:
Ø A teaching qualification (QTS)
Ø Recent, sustained experience of working effectively with GRT children and young people across the age range.
Ø The interpersonal and organisational skills to work with a variety of GRT communities and with staff in a range of schools
Ø The ability to coordinate GRT provision and manage the work of the GRT liaison officer
Ø The skills to lead and develop teaching and learning for GRT pupils with schools
Ø A commitment to developing links between school, home and community
