Head Teacher
School Leadership Teaching

Butterstile Primary School

School Grove, Prestwich, Manchester, M25 9RJ

Required September 2019.

Due to the retirement of our current Headteacher, the Governors seek to appoint a suitably qualified, inspirational and committed leader who is passionate about promoting the already excellent standards in our school.  We seek an experienced leader who is ready to navigate our school with a skilful and innovative approach through the next exciting chapter in its history.

The salary for this post is L18 to L24 £60,755 to £69,673 per annum.

We are seeking a Headteacher who:

  • Has the leadership and drive to lead our school with a passion, raising standards where required, but recognising and maintaining excellence where it is already in place.
  • Understands absolutely the need to keep the wellbeing, resilience and achievements of our pupils at the centre of all the decisions they make and all that the school does.
  • Is a skilful and innovative leader who is able to think ‘outside the box’ when required to achieve the best outcomes for the school and its pupils.
  • Is outward facing and is keen to work with colleagues in an established local collaborative partnership.
  • Is passionate about making a difference to the lives of the families in our community.
  • Recognises the school’s position within the wider community and is able to communicate our vision to it and all stakeholders.
  • Is visible and accessible, and able to engage positively with our large and diverse parent/family community.

In return we will offer the successful candidate:

  • Confident and happy children who enjoy their time in school and the learning experience we bring to them.
  • Staff who are excellent at what they do, totally committed to the school and its pupils and keen to continue to drive the school on a continued upward trajectory.
  • A fully supportive, motivated and highly skilled governing body.
  • A very highly skilled senior leadership team, ready to work with you to achieve the best possible outcomes for the school and its pupils.

We would strongly recommend that you arrange to come and have a look around our school before submitting an application for the post. This can be arranged by contacting Mrs Lisa Griffiths, School Business Manager on 0161 798 5680 or email LGriffiths@bury.gov.uk
