Bury Leisure has clear ambitions for the future and we are offering two apprenticeship positions in the role of Lifeguard.

 

We are seeking to appoint exceptional candidates to join our team. The successful candidates will be:

  • Enthusiastic, passionate, creative and flexible with the motivation to successfully contribute to whole service improvement.
  • A team player who develops excellent working relationships
  • A professional who demonstrates positive behaviour
  • Willing to participate in personal continued professional development

 

The roles require the successful candidates to work flexibly across the leisure facilities, which we are proud to say have Quest accredited status.

 

Hours of work are 37 per week on a rota basis and will include evening and weekend hours.

 

You will join a team who play a crucial role in adherence to high operational standards, supporting our customers through their leisure choices and ensuring a safe environment exists for customers.

 

Employees of Bury Council have a responsibility for, and must be committed to, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and for ensuring that they are protected from harm.  

 

Appointment is subject to a satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

 

The successful candidates will be supported in gaining role appropriate qualifications, all we ask in return is a passion for Health and Well Being, fantastic people skills, a willingness to learn. You must be able to swim 50m in under one minute and dive to the deepest part of the pool (4.9m) to retrieve a manikin.
