Executive Assistant to the Leader and Deputy Leader of the Council

The Leader and Deputy Leader of Bury Council are looking for an experienced Executive Assistant who is able to work in a highly pressurised and constantly changing environment. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the office and preparing high level presentations and reports.
You must be: -
· educated to degree level
· possess high level IT skills
· highly organised
· have experience in planning and monitoring projects
· able to manage all aspects of the Leader and Deputy Leaders’ working arrangements, ensuring their days run smoothly, both from a time management and co-ordination perspective.
You will hold excellent communication skills and will develop relationships with key partners across Bury and Greater Manchester. You will have the confidence to influence new ways of working which will deliver improvements and benefit both your working day, and those of the Leader and Deputy Leader.
In order to support budget reductions in Local Government, the Council looked at many ways to reduce spending that minimised the need to reduce employee numbers or impact on services. All employees up to and including the Chief Executive are required to take an additional 3 days (unpaid) annual leave. This can be taken at any time during the leave year. The cost of these additional days is spread over 12 months or pro rata to your start date.
