The Governing Body and Headteacher of St Mary’s CE (Aided) Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated teaching assistant (Level 2) to join our dedicated EYFS team. 

Our teaching assistants play a vital role in the educational, personal and social development of our children. We require all our staff to be friendly, hardworking, flexible and able to use their own initiative.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and caring professional, with knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Framework, phonics and SEND provision.

 

Hours of work are 27. 5hrs per week (Monday – Friday), term time only.

 

The salary for this post is £14,247 per annum.

 

The person will be required to start from September 2021 (or earlier if able start during the summer term). It will be a temporary post for 12 months.

 

You will:

  • Join a team committed to achieving the school’s vision and values.
  • Need to have had recent experience of working in an EYFS setting
  • Be expected to possess a strong knowledge of EYFS good practice.
  • Have experienced additional SEN training.
  • Be required to attach high expectations to empathy and care.
  • Be able to form strong and professional working relationships with parents and carers, colleagues and other professionals.
  • Be able to exhibit a mix of hard work and initiative with a willingness and ability to follow school policies and procedures.
