JOB TITLE              Project Manager – Full Fibre Roll Out

SALARY                  Grade 11 £31,371 - £32,878

CLOSING DATE      Friday 11th October 2019, 12 noon

In March 2018, GM secured 25% of the UK Local Full Fibre Network funding pot to connect over 1,300 public sector sites across Greater Manchester. This is expected to encourage further private sector investment of up to £250M and could be worth over £2.1BN to the Greater Manchester economy over the next fifteen years.

The LFFN Programme will have a transformational impact on digital infrastructure in GM - leading to an increase of full fibre coverage from 2% now to around 25% within three years. Greater Manchester would then have the best high-speed digital infrastructure coverage of any city-region in the UK.

This post offers the opportunity to manage this exciting programme in Bury.

Working within the Strategic Planning and Economic Development Team you will be at the centre of working across multiple work streams to ensure that Bury reaps the economic rewards from this investment.  The post holder will bring together colleagues from IT, Property and Assets, Highways, Legal, Finance, and Economic Development to support the smooth roll out of fibre to premise connects across the borough.

·         The Growth Company, Business Growth Hub
