We now have an exciting opportunity for a positive, proactive and self-motivated individual, who would like to provide a key role in maintaining our school site, ensure a welcoming, attractive and safe environment for the whole school community.  The Facilities manager will be responsible for the building management system which will be pivotal to the smooth running of the school.  They are also responsible for the building aspect of health and safety within the school, maintenance and cleaning of the premises, project management of works during school holidays and appropriate budgets. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a great deal of pride, passion and vision in taking responsibility for the development and improvements of the school buildings and grounds.

 

We are looking for a strategic leader who will be able to lead and motivate a team and able to prioritise tasks. The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing the efficiency and reliability of the facilities and be able to advise and work closely with senior leaders across the school. You must have a good standard of literacy and numeracy skills, and be willing to undergo training as and when required.

 

This is an exciting opportunity where you will be able to make a real difference and contribute towards our vision of creating a school of excellence for all.

 

The working week will be 37 hours for the management of the site, worked between 8am and 4:00pm.  There will be occasions when the Site Manager will need to cover the Asst Site Manager or Caretaker for holiday and sickness leave and this will require shift cover.
