Passenger Assistants

Required as soon as possible.

 

The School and College Transport Team have a number of permanent vacancies for a Passenger Assistant to work escorting pupils with special educational needs from home to school. You will be required to work a split day, travelling on the morning and afternoon journey.

 

Hours of work vary but typically average 10 hours per week, term time only, worked in accordance with service requirements.

 

The pay is £9.36 per hour.

 

There are currently permanent vacancies, Monday to Friday, with children travelling to:

·         Gorsefield Primary – Monday to Friday

·         Elms Bank High School – Monday to Friday

·         Elms Bank College Hub – Monday to Friday (from September 2019)

·         Pontville School – Monday to Friday (from September 2019)

 

You will be responsible for the care and welfare of the pupils travelling, ensuring that they reach their destination safely. To help you achieve this, you will be expected to attend all appropriate training as and when required.

 

You will be expected to meet the vehicle at a collection point that will not be your home address, the vacancies listed above currently have a Bury Town Centre, Radcliffe, Whitefield or Prestwich meeting point.

Appointment is subject to a satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service.
