As a Local Authority, Bury has a commitment to developing partnerships between schools to provide support and challenge to meet the needs of the most vulnerable children and young people in Bury. 

 

We are looking to appoint two fully qualified Educational Psychologists to join our dedicated and supportive team to support us to meet the needs of our schools’ Inclusion Partnerships and our children, young people and families.  We are committed to developing innovative and effective ways of delivering EP services and we require Educational Psychologists who are flexible and reflective practitioners, capable of taking a creative approach to problem solving and service delivery. 

 

The posts are 12 months fixed term contracts due to the Service being subject to restructure.

 

The hours of work are 37 per week, worked in accordance with service requirements.

 

The salary for this post is Soulbury Scale A scp 2-7 £39,062 to £48,383 per annum.

 

In addition to fulfilling statutory requirements, the successful candidates will carry out consultation and assessment with children, young people and their families to assist in co-producing appropriate outcomes to meet the young person’s individual profile of strengths and needs.  The successful candidate will also be required to plan and deliver specific interventions and deliver appropriate CPD, research and project work. 

 

Successful candidates can expect:         

-      to work within a supportive team where peer support and professional supervision is highly valued;

-      to have opportunities to apply psychology creatively to meet the needs of children, young people and families;

-      to have an induction package for new starters;

-      IT support;

-      administrative support;

-      access to service resources.
