About us

Bury Council is offering a number of exciting apprenticeship opportunities in a variety of different roles across the borough.

During the 2 year fixed-term apprenticeship you will receive support to achieve an industry recognised Qualification; this may include some days attending college. 

Your salary will reflect progression towards the apprenticeship and the development of work related skills.  Your starting salary will be £14,855 per annum and will progress by the end of the apprenticeship scheme to £15,839 (subject to successful progression through the apprenticeship).

Your role:

 

As part of a team, you will be undertaking a wide range of tasks which will be linked to your role. You will gain experience and develop:

·         Excellent organisational skills

·         Communication skills

·         The ability to work as part of an inclusive and supportive team

 


About you

As a Bury Council apprentice you will need good communication and team working skills. You must be passionate to learn and develop new skills and willing to work towards an apprenticeship qualification.

As you will be undertaking an apprenticeship qualification, you will be required to hold GCSE grades 9-4 (A-C) or equivalent in Mathematics, and English Language (or predicted grades). If you possess a GCSE grade 3-2 (D/E) but do not have a key skills qualification, please do not be deterred from applying as further support may be available

Most importantly, you must be committed, motivated and hardworking.

 

Successful candidates will be invited to an assessment day which will include basic tests such as numeracy and grammar and an interview. This will be followed by a second interview with the manager/s of the role for which you are applying.
