JOB TITLE Economy and Business Engagement Officer
SALARY Grade 10 - £27,905 - £30,507

Working within the Strategic Planning and Economic Development Team you will be at the centre of building relationships to ensure the residents and business communities of the borough benefit from economic growth. We are looking for someone who can make an immediate impact within the team.

You will work with colleagues across connected areas including skills, employment, health and wellbeing, and policy development to support businesses across the borough and inward investors.
You will work across a range of partnerships:

- Bury Business Leadership Group
- Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce
- Local business networks

Experience of Economic Development is not essential but you will need good information technology skills, the ability to undertake research and analysis and produce high-quality written reports. You will need to be educated to degree level, or have work experience to a similar standard.
Attendance at early morning and evening meetings will be required, so you'll need to be flexible and committed to working outside normal office hours.
Hours of work are 37 per week and an extended flexi-time scheme is in operation.
