Bury Curriculum and Language Access Service wishes to appoint a Temporary Specialist Teacher of EAL to support schools with teaching and learning for EAL learners.

 

We require:

·         A  high standard of spoken and written English

·         A qualification or registration on a programme leading to a specialist qualification in teaching English as an additional language

·         Experience of working effectively with children learning EAL, including International New Arrivals, in Primary and/or Secondary schools.

·         The interpersonal and organisational skills to work with bilingual pupils and staff in a range of schools.

·         The ability to develop school-based projects and work as part of a team

·         A  commitment to developing links between school, home and community

The hours of work are full time, this post is temporary to cover the maternity leave of the substantive post holder and a fixed term contract which runs until 31st August 2020.

 

The salary for this post is Teachers Pay Range £23,720 to £39,406 per annum.
