The Emergency Duty Team are looking to recruit an Advanced Emergency Duty Practitioner.
The Emergency Duty Team provides a service to children’s, adults and Mental Health Act requests out of hours during evenings, overnight, weekends and public holidays.
The salary for this post will be Grade 14 plus 2 additional increments for AMHP (£41,846) per annum, plus an out of hours payment of £3798 PA - a total salary of £45,644
Your hours of work will be 37 hours a week.
Training will be provided for the right candidate who is AMHP trained in child protection.
Bury Children’s Services host an emergency duty service on behalf of Bury and Rochdale Council. Considerable enhancements have been made to working terms and conditions making this an exciting opportunity to join an experiences and highly motivated workforce.
An attractive salary of £45,644 is payable to the right candidate. You will be a qualified AMHP with significant experience working with mental health, adults and children’s social care. Candidates with little or no children’s safeguarding experience will be offered a bespoke training package to enable them to become dual qualified EDT Advanced Practitioners.
We are looking for individuals who are confident and highly self-motivated. You will be able to make decisions independently often in crisis situations.
The grade is equivalent of an Assistant Team Manager and as such there will be some managerial responsibility i.e being the lead practitioner of 2/3 Advanced Practitioners on shift and making suitable cover arrangements when required on the EDT staff rota.
The rota is a 6 weekly rolling rota available 12 months in advance and offers a healthy work life balance. There will be 2 to 3 practitioners on shift at all times which offers good peer support. The EDT Team Manager will be working some out of hour’s shifts on shift alongside Advanced Practitioners and this gives face to face management access during these shifts. There is a senior manager on call available.
The team are based at home and the shift is led by a lead practitioner.
You will need excellent ICT skills as you will be required to access recording systems across 2 Local Authorities and within Pennine Care. You will be provided with the necessary equipment to work on site and in an agile manner.
