Operations Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Manager at the multi award winning Bury Market, most recently voted Britain’s Favourite Market.

 

Primarily based at the Markets Office at Bury, you will be working as a senior manager within the Bury Markets Management team. You will have a minimum of three years’ experience in operational or event management working in a retail, leisure or commercial environment and have experience of managing budgets. The ever changing retail picture means you will have experience of successfully managing change, improving business or service efficiencies for the delivery of improved customer service.

 

You will be responsible for all operational matters including tenant and trader liaison, health and safety, planned preventative building maintenance, reactive maintenance and long term maintenance of all facilities, security, cleaning, customer services and enforcement of leases, daily licences, relevant legislation and byelaws.

 

A key feature of the role is to ensure the continued success of Bury Market via promotion and marketing and by; managing the development and operation of on the ground events, purchasing paid for media, providing Press Releases for issue to news media, and the operation of the Market’s Social Media accounts.

 

The hours of work are 37 per week, working five days including Saturdays as part of the normal working week and some Sunday and Bank Holiday working.

 

The salary for this post is £31,371 to £32,878 per annum plus £547.81 Matrix Payment.
