Assistant Team Manager - Safeguarding

The Children & Young People Directorate has recently undergone a significant restructure, resulting in the strengthening of operational Social Work teams through the creation of a number of additional Assistant Team Manager Posts to support delivery of high quality provision across the service within a range of teams within Children’s Social Care.

 

These roles are designed to support Team Managers with the delivery of services and interventions, ensuring high standards are set and maintained, and provide effective support and supervision to our Social Workers.

 

Your hours of work will be 37 per week, 8.45am till 5.00pm, subject to service requirements.

 

The salary for this post will be £39,782 to £40,760 per annum.

 

You will be a qualified registered Social Worker with significant post qualification experience, and an excellent understanding of your profession. You will have sound understanding of relevant legislation and regulations, and be able to apply this effectively to undertake complex assessments, manage risk and ensure positive outcomes for children and young people. 

 

While you may not have experience of managing staff, you will be able to demonstrate leadership and motivational skills, and be committed to providing high quality support and supervision to others.

 

These roles are ideal opportunities for experienced Social Workers to progress in their careers and move into a management role.

 

Appointment is subject to a satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
