Cleaning Services are looking to appoint three enthusiastic and highly motivated Cleaners as soon as possible.  You will be based at The Derby High School, Radcliffe Road, Bury, BL9 9NH.

 

Hours of work are 10 per week, 6:00– 8:00am or 16:00–18:00pm Monday to Friday, all year round, worked in accordance with service requirements.

 

The salary for these posts is £4,394 per annum (£8.50 per hour).

 

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness around the school.

 

Relevant experience is an advantage although not essential as training will be provided.

 

Employees of Bury Council have a responsibility for, and must be committed to, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and for ensuring that they are protected from harm.

 

Appointment is subject to a satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

 

In order to support budget reductions in Local Government, the Council looked at many ways to reduce spending that minimised the need to reduce employee numbers or impact on services. All employees up to and including the Chief Executive are required to take an additional 3 days (unpaid) annual leave. This can be taken at any time during the leave year. The cost of these additional days is spread over 12 months or pro rata to your start date.
