Post: Casual Recycling Operative
Salary: Grade 7 £9.37 per hour
Bury ACES is the Internal Casual Recruitment Agency for Bury Councils, Adult Care Services.
All post are advertised on a casual basis.
We are currently recruiting Casual refuse and Recycling Operatives to add to our bank staff to working with the waste management section of Bury Council. Some knowledge of working in a similar post would be an advantage but is not essential.
The post requires working outside in all seasons sometimes in adverse weather conditions and general physical manual work.
You will need to demonstrate enthusiasm, commitment, drive and a strong teamwork ethic and be flexible in supporting colleagues and the service during busy times and periods of absence.

In order to support budget reductions in Local Government, the Council looked at many ways to reduce spending that minimised the need to reduce employee numbers or impact on services. All employees up to and including the Chief Executive are required to take an additional 3 days (unpaid) annual leave. This can be taken at any time during the leave year. The cost of these additional days is spread over 12 months or pro rata to your start date
